Liberty Hill was founded in 2003 out of Hillside UMC in Woodstock to be a missional church to the Canton community. Though our physical home has changed many times, our home has always been Canton. From the very beginning, Liberty Hill has strived to be an authentic witness for Jesus through serving the community, having authentic and Spirit-led worship, and being relatable to all people. This witness helped start many local missions in our community that continue to serve God’s people.

In 2010, Liberty Hill moved into our first space in the historic Canton mill building. Since then our physical space within the mill building has changed greatly, but our heart for bringing Jesus to Canton remains the same! We are joyful to be in our new space on the 2nd floor of The Mill on Etowah where we have room to grow at the center of this rapidly growing community.

Rev. Dr. Eric Lee

Eric is living out a 20-year calling to follow Jesus as a Methodist pastor. His primary responsibilities are preaching, pastoral care, and the development and implementation of vision and leadership for the church. Eric has served in rural, suburban, and urban settings across North Georgia including Varnell, Cartersville, Roswell, and Chamblee.

His first career was in real estate related tax consulting, and his doctoral research was around the future use of land and buildings by churches. Eric is happily remarried to Rev. Kristin Lee, with five children between third grade and graduate school. When they’re not doing church stuff, they can likely be found playing tennis, watching Georgia football, or trying to keep up with those five kids! He’d love to get to know you.

Jordan Grassi Dauterman
Worship Leader

Jordan is the Worship Leader at Liberty Hill UMC. Originally from Key West, Florida, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Songwriting from Belmont University in Nashville and a Master of Divinity from Emory University in Atlanta. Jordan’s vocational background includes event management, campus ministry, worship ministry, and community engagement. She currently works for Candler’s School of Theology where she supports graduate students in their non-profit and ministry internships. When she’s not at Candler or Liberty Hill, you can find her playing her original music at local venues, practicing yoga, getting Jeni’s icecream with her family, or taking her rescue dog, Barbara Jane, on coffee dates.

Raquel Bustos,
Timbers on Etowah
Venue Manager

Raquel is the daughter of a Chilean immigrant and south Georgia country girl. She is an Atlanta native who raised two beautiful daughters and has four brilliant grandsons she sees as often as she can.

She was raised to love music and sing by creative and successful parents, for whom she provided care during their final season of life. In her free time, Raquel can be found singing to the residents of retirement communities across North Georgia. She loves her dogs, gardening, and country living. She has been a follower of Jesus since age 12 and is an active member of Canton Community Church.

God led Raquel to a 20+ year career in senior living after years in hospitality, convention services, and sales. Across hospitality and senior services, she learned how to put on a great event, make sure everyone knows how special they are, and how to bring the WOW factor! She brings commitment and follow-through to Timbers to help people’s personalities shine in their events, down to the littlest detail.

As a community, we strive to make these values our top priority:

 • Intentional Prayer
• Authentic, Spirit-led Worship
• Community Centered
• Serving with Joy

We believe that God uses all of these things to bring healing to our community.
